Noriko: What's that article you're reading? "2008's Best New Businesses"?
Jeff: Yes. My high school friend is in it. She started a business 2 years
ago and is doing quite well now.
Noriko: What kind of business?
Jeff: It's called "Critter Sitters" -- a kind of babysitting service for people's pets.
Noriko: That sounds interesting.
Jeff: Yeah. She first hit upon the idea when her dog chewed up all her furniture from stress when left alone during the day. Anyway, business was slow in the beginning but her customer base increased fairly quickly after that by word of mouth. And now, she's carved out quite a niche for herself in the local pet service industry.
Noriko: Hmmm. She must have worked really hard.
Jeff: Yep, like a dog.
